Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been involved in the world of film and on television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in the theater. Later, she appeared in television series in independent as well as mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. The BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. She did not only get praise from critics for her character, she was also awarded and nominations. Her first professional performance was as Ariel in The Tempest. She's appeared in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis.
