Cruz was conceived on the 28th April 1974, in Alcobendas (province of Madrid), Spain. She is the daughter of Encarna Cruz, who worked as an assistant to the personal and as a hairdresser to Encarna. Her father, Eduardo Cruz, a mechanic for cars who was from Extremaduran, also owned the retail shop. Penelope Cruz began her career in Spanish video and television when she was just 15 years old. She won a competition that was sponsored by a modeling agency. Her career began as a model in Spanish films and soon became a global star. Penelope Cruz was born in Spain and is best known for her acting skills, having performed in film and on television. The actress is famous for her work with Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar. She won an Academy Award in 2008 for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona by Woody Allen. Piper Perabo won a Golden Globe for her performance in TV, film and theatre. She was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in New Jersey. She graduated from Ohio University with a summacum Laude. She played the lead role on the film Coyote Ugly, a breakthrough film in 2000. Perabo is the daughter of Mary Charlotte (nee Ulland) and a physical therapist and George William Perabo, a poet lecturer of Ocean County College.
